About Us
Our Day Surgery Ward situated on the 3rd floor of our main hospital at 20 Devonshire Place, provides expert care for patients undergoing day case procedures across a wide range of specialities including general surgery, ophthalmic, ENT, plastics, gynaecology, and orthopaedics. The unit is designed to support a safe and efficient patient journey, from admission to discharge, with a strong focus on comfort, dignity, and recovery.
The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Band 3 Healthcare Assistant with previous acute hospital ward experience to join our Day Surgery Ward.
This role is well suited to HCAs who have already worked within a fast paced inpatient setting and are comfortable supporting patient care throughout admission, treatment and discharge. Your existing experience within an acute ward environment will enable you to confidently support the nursing and medical teams and contribute positively to the smooth running of the unit.
You will work closely with nurses, consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide safe, efficient and personalised care for patients undergoing day case procedures.
