The role:
This is a highly specialist and strategic role to define and deliver SJP’s High-net-worth Proposition. You’ll lead on the shaping and full execution, including the proposition from both a client and an SJP Partner perspective, and covering all areas such as eligibility, branding, pricing, advice, distribution approach, products & services, support channels and reporting.
Also, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders at all levels to develop the proposition and build and deliver an execution plan.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. There may be the possibility of a permanent role becoming available at the end of the contract, depending on the business needs at the time.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building a thorough understanding of SJP's corporate strategy and its business model, and the strengths and weaknesses of the present proposition for High-net-worth clients.
- Carrying out a detailed review of current offering versus key competitors to inform the forward-looking strategy.
- Advising on the commercial aspects of the strategy, including the size of the market opportunity, fee structure for clients, Advisers and strategic partners.
- Articulating the High-net-worth strategy, including identifying areas where St. James's Place should target to have a competitive edge. This includes creating and delivering presentations to relevant Boards and Committees, to inform, advise, influence, align and agree on the strategy.
- Building a strategic vision and business plan, detailing all areas of the proposed strategy, including client and Adviser proposition, distribution approach, products and services for this segment, business impact, client outcomes, and financial projections.
- Ensuring all integration areas are considered such as advisory, actuarial, tax, legal and investment services and that High-net-worth proposition and its delivery complies with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
- Working with and aligning stakeholders across the business to build and execute a robust strategy for High-net-worth clients, securing and deploying the necessary budget and resources.
- Providing insights into the Advice, Product, Technology, Marketing and Communications teams to develop targeted solutions, and move into proposition delivery.
Who we’re looking for:
You will have a proven track record in delivering and overseeing a successful High-net worth capability. Experience collaborating with senior leadership and colleagues on driving client-centric initiatives in a high-net-worth environment, with a focus on enhancing propositions and achieving good client outcomes?
Including:
- Expert knowledge and understanding of the wealth management / private bank industry for High-net-worth Individuals, including the competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and details of the products, services, distribution strategies, and business operations of these functions.
- Client-centric mindset and strategic thinking to develop and design the proposition tailored to the unique needs of High-net-worth clients.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a senior strategic, executive or leadership role within a private bank or large wealth manager, targeting High Net Worth Individuals (£2m+ of investible assets).
- Proven track record of working at C-suite level to define, advise, influence, align and agree on a business strategy, as well as writing and delivering business plans and working with a program team to oversee execution.
Special Requirements:
Some national travel (most likely between Cirencester, London, etc), with some occasional overnight stays. Some flexibility around working hours is expected from time to time.
