About The Role
We are looking for a positive, dynamic, self-motivated Paediatric Physiotherapist with extensive experience of working with children across the spectrum of needs and a proven track record for delivering outstanding care in clinic and community settings to join the Community Health Service in Merton. You will provide a service that is responsive, high quality, value for money and meets our contractual obligations including service development.
Your role will be to provide assessment, advice and treatment to children with a range of neurological, neurodevelopmental and coordination disorders, including complex medical needs. The role will include diverse work within local clinics, mainstream schools and nurseries and patients' homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with established multi-professional teams within Merton Community Services and with outside services to deliver paediatric physiotherapy advice and treatment
- Work autonomously and in collaboration with community teams within CLCH, other health care professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies
- Deliver high-quality physiotherapy service to children and young people in the Merton Community
- Work with a variety of conditions including complex needs, profound and multiple learning disabilities, and acute rehabilitation
- Provide care in the community setting most appropriate for each child (clinic, school, nursery, patients' homes, children centres or special school)
- Perform advanced assessment of patients including those with highly complex presentations
- Formulate problem lists and treatment plans as an autonomous practitioner
- Carry a clinical caseload and work independently as a clinical lead
Requirements
- Extensive experience of working with children in the community setting and special schools or similar
- Excellent team working, communication and IT skills
- Passion for continuous improvement
- Experience of management, leadership and service development
- Experience of supporting and developing junior members of staff
- Experience with data analysis and clinic coordination
