As part of our Urgent and Emergency Care Update Programme, we have a unique opportunity for a senior pharmacist to lead the implementation of a new electronic prescribing solution within our Emergency Department.
The post presents an excellent opportunity to optimise all of your clinical expertise and to develop further leadership and specialist informatics skills. No previous informatics experience is needed, as full training will provided by our experienced clinical informatics team.
The role will be offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
The postholder will have the following responsibilities;
Lead the implementation of a new electronic prescribing system to support the transformation of clinical services in the emergency department.
Collaborative working with multidisciplinary clinical and digital teams
Ensuring the electronic prescribing system is developed in line with clinical digital safety standards.
Provide training and onboarding support for pharmacy teams, prescribers, and administrative staff
Collaborating with other organisations through participation in supplier user groups
Developing prescribing reports
Provision of clinical pharmacy service to the Emergency Department
Championing the medicines optimisation and safety agenda
Participating in clinical audit and practice research
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, organised person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills working effectively under pressure, both alone and as part of a team
