We have an exciting opportunity for a band 7 SLT to join our SLT education service. The role will include working in the mainstream education service in the inner London boroughs of Westminster, and RBKC. As a band 7, you will have a key role in service development and supporting others, and will join a friendly, experienced and knowledgeable team.

What You'll Do
- Provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention to children and young people with speech, language and communication needs
- Have opportunities to take the lead on service development, and sharing of new learning and best practice
- Work in an innovative, knowledgeable, and supportive team
- Work jointly with parents, school teams and other professionals to develop a shared understanding of each child/young person's speech, language and communication needs and how these can be supported
- Help schools embed good universal and targeted practice within their settings
- Support parents, school staff and other professionals in all issues related to client management with multidisciplinary team liaison as an integral part of the role
- Understand and meet professional and legal SEND responsibilities outlined in the Children and Families Act 2014 including contributing to statutory assessments of special educational needs and delivery of SLT provision as specified in children and young people's Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Have accountability for own professional actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice as appropriate
- Provide highly specialist clinical supervision, line management and peer review to other SLTs and students
- Support in the training and development of junior therapists in the team
- Have opportunities to further develop clinical supervision and line management skills
- Contribute to developments within individual teams and the broader service including in the development of policies and procedures relating to clinical care, evidence-based practice, care pathways and outcome development
- Deliver training to staff across settings to a variety of audiences including parents and staff in school settings
- Liaise with other colleagues across a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
