Specialist Systemic Family Therapist - The Darwin Centre - Band 8A (Part time - 30 hours per week)
Are you passionate about supporting families to create lasting change? We are looking for a family systemic worker to join our dedicated and expanding team to help make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.
As a Family Systemic Worker, you will use a relational and strengths-based approach to work intensively with families facing complex challenges. Drawing on systemic family therapies principles, you will facilitate positive change by helping families to understand and shift patterns of interaction that contribute to difficulties. You will work collaboratively with the specialist MDT & Commissioners. and ensure families feel heard, supported, and empowered. Although the role is based with the Teir 4 CAMHS 14 bed inpatient unit, postholders will work with the community Family Therapy team half a day per week. Focusing on Young People post discharge from the Darwin Centre, supporting them to transition back into their community services, Post holders will also be part of our Quarterly Family Therapy in CAMHS Network. Usual hours would be Mon - Fri however hours can be worked flexibly and can be discussed prior to interview.

- Deliver therapeutic , family-focused interventions using systemic principles . Work alongside social workers, Nursing Staff, medical staff, and other professionals to support family plans.
- Build trusting relationships with families, promoting resilience and self-efficacy . Facilitate family meetings, reflective practice, and network consultations.
The post holder will also be accountable for their own professional actions and will need to interpret broad occupational policies (i.e. commitment to a family approach to treatment, involving service users and carers at all levels of treatment and service development).
To supervise others in the field of systemic therapy.
