About The Role
We’re currently looking for a Hostess to join our Wild Carrot front-of-house team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creating warm welcomes and seamless first impressions. Your role combines hospitality, organisation, and teamwork to ensure the smooth running of the front-of-house service.

About The Role

What You Will Do
- Warmly welcoming each guest as they arrive—offering a personable, professional greeting and ensuring they feel instantly at ease
- Managing reservations using our digital booking system, overseeing table allocations to optimise the flow of service throughout each shift
- Coordinating seating arrangements, liaising closely with the restaurant management and floor team to match table preferences and ensure timely turnover
- Maintaining an expert knowledge of the restaurant’s concept, menu highlights, seasonal dishes, and bar offerings so you can confidently answer guest queries
- Handling guest requests and special occasions with care and discretion—whether it’s a birthday celebration, anniversary, or dietary requirement
- Supporting the team during service peaks, from assisting with coat check or menus to lending a hand with service set-up
- A warm, approachable and engaging personality
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel or luxury setting preferred
- A natural multitasker with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and guest-facing skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
