In this role, you’ll manage and process applications for the Household Support Fund, ensuring timely and accurate support for eligible residents. You’ll use digital tools like Excel and Power Automate to streamline workflows and support data-driven decisions. Your day-to-day will involve responding to resident queries with empathy, maintaining accurate records, analysing data, and signposting individuals to longer-term support services. You’ll also contribute to internal reporting and collaborate with colleagues across the council to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

You’re an experienced administrator with a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You’re confident using digital tools and have excellent communication skills, especially when dealing with sensitive or emotive situations. You’re flexible, organised, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you’ll have experience working at a senior administrative level and be comfortable supervising others.
