Your role as a Housekeeping Assistant:
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who have a keen eye for detail and aim to deliver the exceptional operational standards required particularly at busy service times. As a member of our team, you will have a positive and energetic approach and be a colleague that the team look forward to working with and building strong relationships with others to accomplish tasks and shared goals.
Working within our Halls of Residence either at University Park or Jubilee Campus, main duties will include the cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and other public areas including all touch points to a high standard providing excellent customer service at all times.
Tasks will involve the manipulation of furniture, making beds and the removal of rubbish in a working environment which can be demanding.
Previous cleaning experience and ability to work independently and as part of a team is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Posts Available: 16 hours, 19.5 hours or 25 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged to include regular weekends working between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm. These positions are offered on a permanent basis working throughout the full calendar year, 52-weeks of the year (including outside of term and student vacation periods) while also are eligible to an additional 20% pay allowance for hours worked in weekend.
Please note: Due to a range of functions, conference and business needs, successful candidates are required to work in term time either 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weekends and during summer regular weekends. Further details will be given at the interview.

The successful candidates for these positions will be expected to attend statutory training courses and any refresher training required by the department. There are planned training courses throughout the year and different options to attend either during a typical week, Monday to Friday or on a set weekend dates within the year.
