Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Housing Strategy and Policy Manager to lead on housing strategy and policy, reporting to the Head of Regeneration and Housing. The post holder will also be responsible for the Council’s Housing Advice and Homelessness Team, which provides key front-line services meeting the borough’s housing needs.
This is a key position, and you will be a member of the Regeneration and Housing managers’ team, contributing to wider policy matters. In addition, you will deal with our elected members providing advice and support on housing matters and therefore you must be able to act and advise appropriately in a political context.
You will be overall responsible for housing strategy and policy, homelessness prevention and reduction, rough sleeping, meeting housing needs, and asylum and migration service provision. Closely working with registered providers, the private rented sector, house builders and the voluntary sector will be a key aspect of the role.
