The Job Role
Working within the Client Product Management team you will work in partnership with the HP team. In this role you will be providing essential product management to the vendor category managers and account managers, as well as having direct contact with the top customers.
The successful candidate will be commercially aware, have a positive mindset, be proactive in their work, ambitious to grow and to learn while showing an excellent attention to detail.
As the HP Business Manager you will have P&L responsibilities and should be comfortable in reporting back performance against key KPI’s to senior management. There will also be a requirement to create and measure strategic plans to ensure the objectives of both Westcoast and the vendor are met.
Candidates will ideally have a background in Product or Category Management.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Develop key stake holder relationships internally and externally (including key resellers) to effectively deliver growth plans.
- Effectively manage the forecast and planning of stock profiles, business plans and customer commercials.
- Support Westcoast sales teams as a product overlay.
- Regular engagement with Vendors contacts.
- Actively work and promote vendor priorities.
- Engage with our marketing team to strategize campaigns to the channel.
- Be the product expert on the portfolio and be confident to train Westcoast sales to be self-sufficient where possible.
- Attend any Vendor training or events where relevant.

- Previous experience in category or product management.
- Experience of working within IT channel.
- Commercially aware.
- Numerically iterate.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Experience of conducting client visits
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong and disciplined attitude to work.
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Confident decision maker.
