Responsibilities

This role will provide full administrative support to the HR Shared Services Team, supporting 6 Berkley entities. This includes day-to-day HR administration, ad-hoc project support, reporting requirements, and general enquiries. This will be a dynamic role with great exposure to all pillars of HR (L&D, ED&I, ER, Culture and Engagement, HR Compliance, and Administration).

HR Administration

Support the HR team with the administration of all employee life cycle matters, including but not limited to,

new hire documentation, background checks, SMCR certification, Workday administration, probation reviews,

changes to terms and conditions, professional education agreements, leaver documentation and reference

requests.

Facilitate the bi-annual performance review processes and annual goal-setting processes.

Update and maintain the employee information within Workday.

Work closely with third-party providers to ensure all administration, including invoices, is completed in a timely

manner.

Support the HRBP with the benefits administration, partnering closely with third parties.

Respond to general queries in the HR Shared Services inbox, ensuring the inbox is tidy and well-kept at all

times.

Facilitate HR-related meetings including room booking, note-taking, and calendar invites.

Reporting I Analytics

Provide relevant HR information/reports on a regular basis utilising the Workday system.

Respond to information requests as part of general audit procedures.

Key HR Projects I Initiatives

Support with the creation of the Berkley UK Events calendar.

Support with the organisation of L&D workshops and events.

  • Support with further project work on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Understand and adhere to all applicable rules, regulations and legislation.

Qualifications

Some experience in Human Resources is preferable. Alternatively, we will consider individuals from an

administrative background who have an interest in learning more about Human Resources.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment with a varied workload.

Able to work to own initiative as well as working as part of a team to deliver key projects against deadlines.

Ability to manage workload and prioritise competing demands.

Analytical, intelligent and open-minded approach.

Numerically astute and comfortable working with Excel to at least an intermediate level.

Proactive, organised and efficient.

Approachable and innovative, able to proactively streamline and simplify processes and problem-solve.

An excellent, effective and personable communicator, with a high level of integrity.
