Our Portsmouth office has an opportunity for an
HR Assistant to join the team to cover maternity leave. This will be on a fixed term contract for 18 months.
Key responsibilities of an HR Assistant will include:
At TC, you’ll be a key member of our team from day one. You’ll get involved in working with Partners and Senior Managers very quickly and given individual responsibility for delivering services to them. You will take full HR administration responsibility for a full region so will have your own offices to look after.
You can expect to be managing new starter and leaver processes, updating monthly payroll documentation and checking payslips, monitoring sickness records, managing contractual changes and employee life cycle tasks for 500+ staff, database management and supporting the Head of HR and HR Manager with projects.
Alongside hands-on experience, you’ll benefit from on-the-job training from more senior members of the team to help you develop in the role.
You will be involved in processing contractual and payroll information where speed, accuracy and delivering an excellent service are all critical.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of working in HR or payroll would be advantageous
- Experience of working in an administrative role in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Excellent IT skills and great attention to detail
- Hardworking, self-starter with a strong willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to pick up new concepts quickly and also change priorities quickly
- Confidence with formatting documentation and numbers
- Ability to work independently and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality
- A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and an efficient and personable communicator
