We're looking for a HR Business Partner to join our Construction team based in London and Thames Valley.
Location: London and Thames Valley - hybrid working available, with travel to offices and sites required 4 days per week
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As an HR Business Partner within the Construction London business, you will play a strategic role in partnering with Project and Functional leadership teams. You will deliver proactive, innovative, and solutions-oriented HR support that drives performance, enhances employee engagement, and aligns with business objectives.
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting the Head of HR in delivering a commercially focused and legally compliant people plan that aligns with the strategic objectives of Kier London & Thames Valley
- Building strong, trusted partnerships with Operational and Functional leaders, providing expert HR guidance and tailored people solutions to enable effective strategy execution across business areas
- Taking full ownership of people data and partnering proactively with Centres of Excellence (COEs) to ensure seamless transactional support—particularly around cyclical HR activities such as performance management, talent reviews, and workforce planning
- Collaborating closely with wider HR functions and COEs to provide best-practice HR support, ensuring group-wide initiatives are effectively tailored and implemented within the Construction division and the London & Thames Valley region
This HR Business Partner role is ideal for you if you:
- Hold a degree or have equivalent experience, with a strong track record as a high-potential HR professional supporting medium to large organisations
- Bring a solid understanding of talent management, succession planning, and leadership development to drive both individual and organisational growth
- Possess strong capabilities in employee engagement and employee relations, with up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Have proven experience in supporting business acquisitions and complex terms of employment (TUPE, consultations, restructures etc.)
