You will be the first point of contact for all HR matters in the department and provide advice and guidance to staff.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Taking the lead on recruitment matters.
- Providing clear and accurate advice to staff on HR policy and employment relations issues.
- Providing a helpful and accurate service regarding contractual changes, payroll changes and relevant HR reports
- Coordinating a variety of regular annual schemes, such as reward, appraisal and the HR elements of the Unit's Summer Research Placement Scheme.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in HR in a coordinator and administrator role, have excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic as well as the ability and motivation to learn new skills and keep abreast of new policy and regulatory changes.
You should be able to work autonomously and will benefit from support from the HR Advisor and Business Partner at the School of Clinical Medicine, alongside the Clinical School Staff Hub Team. The role will also benefit from expert advice provided by the central University Amendments, New Appointments, Payroll and Compliance Teams.
The Unit offers flexible working that can be discussed with the successful candidate. Due to the need to foster a good understanding of the Unit and build effective working relationships this role is predominantly office based.
Funding for this role is initially available until 31-Mar-2027 with the possibility of extension.
