The Opportunity


As HR Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle — from onboarding to offboarding. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while aligning people practices with business goals. You’ll work independently and collaboratively, supporting performance and reward processes, employee relations, and compliance. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to broader people initiatives as Devoteam continues to grow and evolve.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a professional and seamless experience.
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters, and employment documentation in line with UK employment law.
  • Maintain accurate records in the HRIS and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Provide first-line support on HR policy and employment law queries.
  • Support employee relations matters including absence, performance, and conduct.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, probation, and training needs.
  • Administer compensation and benefits, including payroll coordination.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive culture aligned with Devoteam’s values.
  • Partner with senior leaders to align people practices with strategic goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and employee experience.



Who we are looking for


We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a background working in professional services or, preferably, consulting environments. This is essential to ensure you can thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused setting where people are central to business success. You’ll be confident working independently, with excellent communication and organisational skills, and a proactive, hands-on approach to HR operations. You’ll also be someone who values continuous improvement and is passionate about building inclusive, high-performing cultures.


In addition, we will ask that you have:

  • Demonstrable experience covering generalist HR activities through to manager level.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (preferably Workday) and confident in maintaining accurate employee data.
  • Experience working with and managing external payroll providers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain HR matters clearly and confidently across all levels.
  • An approachable, empathetic, and discreet nature, with a strong sense of confidentiality and integrity.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented style, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The willingness to work in our London office (between Blackfriars and Farringdon) 3 days per week.



What We Offer

  • Base salary of £60,000–£65,000, plus discretionary performance-based bonus.
