Who Are CSL Looking For?

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled HR Manager to oversee all aspects of our human resources department. As HR Manager, you will play a key role in shaping our company culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and leading HR initiatives that support our growth and employee engagement. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement effective strategies for recruitment, employee development, performance management, and overall organisational development.


Duties & Responsibilities:

This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:


Recruitment & Onboarding

Oversee end-end process from budget approval and management of a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. This includes reviewing agency Terms Of Business and ensuring that the highest level of candidate experience is delivered.


Employee Relations

Provide support and guidance to both employees and managers on employee concerns, help resolve conflicts and ensure a positive workplace culture. Support and develop the HR Advisor with resolving queries independently.


Performance & Talent Management

Oversee annual performance review process and support managers in enhancing team performance. Identify future talent and create succession and development plans in line with organisational goals. This will be a particular focus this year, so experience in successfully partnering a business in this space is key.


TUPE, Mergers & Acquisitions

Lead and advise on business acquisitions, applying the latest TUPE guidelines, while ensuring a successful cultural integration.


Compliance & Policies

Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations, reviewing and updating internal policies in line with changes to employment legislation, with a particular focus on implementation of any changes required as a result of the upcoming Employment Rights Bill. Lead on compliance training initiatives.


Training & Development

Work with managers to identify training needs, implement development programmes, and manage employee growth initiatives.


Compensation & Benefits

Working closely with our Finance team, manage compensation packages and reviews, overseeing monthly payroll and employee benefits to the highest of standards.


Reporting

Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the SLT demonstrating key data and metrics with key insights and trends.


Team Coaching and Support

Oversee and support a small busy HR team ensuring the team have the tools and confidence to succeed.


Key Skills & Qualifications Sought:

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in an HR Manager or similar role, with a solid understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic and operational HR needs.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (CIPHR preferred), MS Office Suite, Canva and Asana.
  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field is desirable, or equivalent experience.
