People Business Partner
Heathrow - Full Time
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced People Business Partner to join our team at Heathrow Airport. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with managers at all levels to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused People solutions that align with our business goals. You'll be instrumental in shaping and executing the People Plan, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture, and driving our social value agenda—making a real difference to both our team and the wider community. Due to the size of the site, you will need to hold a full UK Driving License as you will need to travel across the site.
What are the main responsibilities?
- Lead the creation and delivery of the People Plan for the contract.
- Oversee complex employee relations (ER) cases, working closely with the ER team to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage people change projects in collaboration with the Change Partnering team.
- Coach and mentor managers on People processes to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
- Champion Mitie's values and help embed a positive workplace culture.
- Enhance awareness of employee benefits and improve internal communications.
- Ensure compliance with key areas including right to work, vetting, HR, L&D, and recruitment.
- Promote a strong performance management culture across the contract.
- Support managers with performance training and the MiReview appraisal process.
- Contribute to change initiatives such as restructures and new business activity.
- Produce monthly HR and People reports.
- Keep managers informed of legislative updates and their business impact.
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR.
- Drive employee engagement and improve morale through effective communication.

- Sound knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience delivering HR training and managing under pressure
- A flexible, adaptable, and resilient approach
- High standards of confidentiality and independent decision-making
- TUPE experience (preferred but not essential)
