Location: This role is based in The Quadrant:MK. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant:MK, you must live within 90 minutes.

Brief Description
This role provides an exciting opportunity to deliver proactive, value-added HR support with a strong focus on employee relations cases, while also playing a key role in upskilling managers to handle people matters confidently and effectively, ultimately enhancing performance and the overall employee experience.
About The Role (External)
About the team..
We’re a hands-on HR Business Partnering team, working closely with leaders to deliver the People Plan and drive performance. Collaborative and connected, we work across HR and with unions to support business goals and make a real impact where it counts.
What does the average day look like?
You’ll work closely with senior leaders to deliver the People Plan, with a primary focus on managing a broad range of employee relations cases. You'll provide expert ER guidance, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes that align with employment law and company policy.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll coach and support managers in handling sensitive people issues, helping them build confidence and competence in addressing challenges proactively. Upskilling line managers to effectively manage ER matters will be a key part of your impact on driving a positive employee experience and reducing ER risk across the business.
You’ll collaborate regularly with HR Centres of Expertise, Shared Services, and fellow HR Business Partners to ensure consistent case management and policy application. You’ll also engage with union representatives and key stakeholders to resolve issues constructively and promote practical, people-focused solutions.
Who are we looking for?
You’ll have proven experience partnering with senior leaders to deliver effective people solutions. Confident in coaching and influencing, you’ll bring solid HR knowledge, a track record in driving performance, and experience managing a range of Employee Relation matters.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in managing a wide range of complex employee relations cases.
- Track record of partnering effectively with senior leaders to resolve ER matters, improve manager capability, and drive consistent, fair people practices.
- Skilled in coaching and upskilling managers to handle ER cases confidently and compliantly, embedding best practice across the organisation.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR policy.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage sensitive issues at all levels of the organisation.
