Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded HR Director to lead both the strategic and operational delivery of the HR function within a growing, professional services organisation.

Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Group General Counsel and Executive Team, the role plays a key part in shaping culture, managing change and supporting the organisation’s long-term growth objectives. The HR Director will also present regularly to the Board.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic and operational management of the HR function across the full employee lifecycle
Manage and develop the internal HR team, providing guidance, support and professional development
Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders on complex HR, organisational and people matters
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and initiatives aligned to business objectives
Drive employee engagement, culture development and change management initiatives
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, succession planning and talent pipeline development
Ensure compliance with employment law, HR best practice and regulatory requirements

Lead on reward strategy, salary reviews, benefits and market benchmarking

Oversee payroll accuracy and maintenance of HR records

Manage complex employee relations matters including grievances and disciplinary cases

Champion ESG, wellbeing, data protection and information security best practice

Evaluate and implement HR technology and AI solutions where appropriate

Plan and deliver company-wide initiatives, including the annual away day

Skills & Experience

Senior HR generalist with at least five years’ experience in a fast-paced professional services environment
Experience within financial services or asset management is advantageous
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and regulatory considerations
Proven experience leading organisational change and culture initiatives
Confident communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills
Pragmatic, resilient and solution-focused approach
Ability to manage a varied workload and lead complex projects effectively
Comfortable operating at executive and board level
Degree-educated and/or CIPD qualified
