An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate HR Manager (Part Time) at our Coventry site. This is a key position in driving our people strategy, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting our colleagues to achieve their best. This role partners with the Bakery Manager, Coventry and reports to the HR Director_Europe.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provides human resources guidance through planning, organising and controlling the activities of the Human Resources Department in support of the site;
  • Manages the employee relations efforts to develop & implement business aligned HR initiatives that promote effective employee and management relations;
  • Lead C.H.Guenther Global activities and initiatives at site level to ensure understanding, implementation and positive results;
  • Act as a business partner and coach for the site management team;
  • Ensure competitive programs are in place to attract and retain talent;
  • Responsible for implementing systems and coaching the site leadership team to cultivate a positive employee relations environment;
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to employee relations issues affecting the site to mitigate any legal or compliance related risks;
  • Partners with Safety to promote and create a safe work environment and ensure compliance with applicable regulations;
  • Manages recognition and social events for the facility;
  • Develops, reviews and implements effective company communications;
  • Supports the HR Director to manage the annual performance appraisal and compensation program for the site;
  • Maintains strong knowledge of current HR industry trends.Ensures compliance with current employment legislation;
  • To work closely with the employee forums in order to further develop positive working relationships through coordinating and attending site Bakery Consultative Forums;
  • Ensures the HR budget and site Training Budget remain on target throughout the year.

The HR Manager will:

  • Support and drive the site people strategy in line with the business values and local requirements
  • Support the Bakery Manager to drive the site ‘one team’ culture, ensuring that all departments are aligned and driving in the same direction to create a high performing and engaged team
  • Build a culture of coaching and development through the various teams on site
  • Support the Bakery Manager to build, lead, motivate and develop the site executive team (SET)
  • Support in delivering the site sustain program, including Environmental, Ethical and Educational workstreams


Education/Certifications:

Must be a CIPD Graduate (MCIPD) or in final stages of completion, with 7+ years’ experience gained in a manufacturing environment, 3 of those years must be at HR Manager level. Ideally educated to degree level.

  • Experience of working in an HR function in manufacturing/ industrial/food environment;

  • Enthusiastic and able to motivate other employees;
