37 hours per week (hybrid working)
Are you ready to make a significant impact in a forward-thinking, dynamic council? Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is seeking an exceptional person to fill this exciting brand-new role.
As the ICT Applications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in centralising our ICT applications team, developing a strategic roadmap for our business systems, and ensuring the effective management of our application projects. Your expertise will be crucial in rationalising our application estate, working with suppliers to secure the best value, and maximising the use of our existing tools.
You will work with your team to provide applications support to areas including:
- Housing & Property Management
- Environment Management
- GIS
- Revenues & Benefits
As well as working on development of new systems and integrations, you will work closely with the council’s Digital and Transformation teams to innovate and support our transformation programme.
About you
To be successful you will demonstrate experience of working with public sector business applications and of managing teams. You will also be experienced in delivering complex application projects and developing medium and long-term plans for systems. You will need to be used to working under some pressure and a good communicator, comfortable dealing with users, senior stakeholders and suppliers.
This post will occasionally include working evenings and weekends.
You will also need a full driving licence and access to a car for this post.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
