Job Overview
In this role, you will handle Level 2/3 escalation calls, perform site surveys, physical installations and fault investigations for Security, IP PBX, and Managed IT systems for high profile clients and internal users. The position is designed for you to transition into a leadership role, where you will manage a team of Level 1 and Level 2 support staff. This team will service clients' needs for phone systems, internet connectivity, managed IT services, and security.
Job Eligibility
Minimum 2 to 5 years of proven experience into an ICT related role.
Proven track record of KPI performance, process compliance and team leadership.
Excellent attention to detail for potential issues or improvements.
Prior experience in structured network cabling in trunking, conduit and above ceiling installations.
Problem solver able to find solutions to any problem you’re presented with self-led research.
Role Description
Provide detailed site surveys with planning hardware, cabling and layout requirements.
Installation of structured Cat 5E/6 network cabling including comms cabinets.
Install programs mostly Cloud PBX/IP telephone systems with Yealink phones.
Install, program Hikvision CCTV, intercoms, access control and wireless alarm systems.
Install, program DrayTek, TP-Link, Zyxel and Netgate routers and firewalls.
Install program Ubiquiti Unifi and TP-Link Omada cloud managed network equipment.
Install, program PCs and Laptops along with accessories such as monitors, docking stations, printers etc.
Install, program Servers, network attached storage and other associated hardware.
Train customers in the use of all systems provided.
Obtain customer acceptance and sign-off upon successful installation.
Manage and maintain company supplied vehicles via weekly auditing.
Maintain and troubleshoot system faults as required on customer sites or remotely.
Provide Level 2/3 desk-based support to clients for phone systems, internet connectivity, managed IT services and security.
Identify product opportunities to share them with account management proactively.
What we expect
Your recent UK working experience, minimum 2 years in a technical role unless an extensive portfolio of self-driven learning and practical lab environment work can be provided. (Required)
• Your availability to work within 4 weeks. (Required)
• ITIL Foundation, CompTIA, CCNA qualifications. (Desirable)
• Relevant certification in CCTV, Access Control, IP telephony, and networking installation. (Desirable)
• Confident in internal CAT5e/CAT6 cabling, installation of comms cabinets, and mounting of hardware. (Required)
Key Performance Indicators
Complete the learning curve within 6 months based on company-approved items and timelines.
Closing of support tickets within given SLAs.
Completion of on-site work within provided timeframes.
Measure and track customer system uptime and accessibility to ensure reliable infrastructure.
Skills & Abilities
• Ability to apply detailed knowledge and skills within ICT and security to deliver successful outcomes for our clients and the business within agreed SLAs.
• Driven to always learn new skills and have a passion for resolution and success.
• Windows Server roles such as AD, GP, DNS, RDSH, IIS, and SQL.
• Windows desktop (10/11), joining AD and Entra, deployment, day-to-day support items.
• MAC OS support.
• Experience working with CRMs and RMMs.
• Full clean manual UK driving license.
• Able to stay in hotels when required to complete multi-day site visits.
