About The Role
The ICT Systems Support role plays a vital part in supporting the company's technology infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and networks. It involves collaborating with other team members to provide technical assistance, resolve issues, and implement new technology solutions.
Based in our London Office, and reporting to the ICT Director, the role will cover these key areas:
- Technical support - responding to user inquiries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted productivity.
- Systems maintenance - conducting regular system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure optimal performance and security of our IT infrastructure.
- Network management - assisting in the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices, ensuring network connectivity and data integrity.
- Software deployment - collaborating with team members to deploy, configure, and maintain software applications, ensuring compatibility and usability across different platforms.
- Information security - assisting in the implementation and enforcement of information security policies and procedures, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Documentation and reporting - maintaining accurate documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations, and providing regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
- Collaboration and communication - working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and end-users, to understand their requirements, provide technical guidance, and contribute to technology-related projects.
About You
As a member of our IT team, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, contributing to the success and growth of our engineering consultancy.
You will have a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, an industry certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalent work experience.
It is essential that you possess a solid understanding of IT principles, networking, and computer hardware/software. You must also be able to demonstrate proficiency in operating systems, network protocols, and system administration, and have knowledge of information security best practices and awareness of potential vulnerabilities.
You will have experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner, using strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
To succeed in this role, you will also be able to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. A continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies is also important for success in this role.

SALARY
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
