The role
We are a law firm that specialises in media, technology and intellectual property. We have an enviable client base including major Hollywood studios, leading TV production companies and many big names in media, technology, gaming and sport. We also act for plenty of impressive digital start-ups and scale-ups.
As a result, our immigration lawyers have some unusual and exciting challenges to navigate. They may, for example, need to secure a visa for an A-list actor or household name football coach, or for members of their private staff. They also get to advise remarkable businesses on how to frame their global mobility strategy.
It’s a practice we are keen to grow and we are looking to hire an experienced immigration paralegal to join our team full time in our London office.
With a varied workload, you will be advising on both business and personal immigration routes, including Global Talent, Skilled Worker, sponsor licence acquisition and compliance and other points-based immigration categories. You will also support clients with immigration strategy and policy advice, including where immigration intersects with broader business planning, HR, and commercial strategy.
You can expect significant responsibility and client contact from the outset, with genuine opportunities to contribute to business development and to help shape the future of the practice. As part of a small but ambitious team, you will play a central role in expanding our immigration capabilities across the firm’s core sectors.
You’ll benefit from a commitment to training and development and the team’s success will provide you with strong career progression opportunities.
About you
You will have at least 2 years’ (and ideally more) experience working as a UK immigration paralegal (either in private practice or in-house) in a specialist team and in a client facing role.
Your experience must include advising on both business immigration, including sponsor licence applications/compliance and visa applications (including Skilled Worker applications), and on personal immigration routes (including the Global Talent route).
We’ll also be looking for evidence of exceptional client management and communication skills, a strong academic record and a genuine enthusiasm for the work.
