Position summary;
Main job functions: To work within the Technical Department, essentially the role is to develop, lead and work with manufacturing to implement continuous operational improvements across various manufacturing processes. To champion and lead all continuous improvements, in so doing ensure the safety and quality of the finished product.
Employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.

Responsibilities
Duties/responsibilities
- Investigate quality problems and identify root cause and implement effective countermeasures to prevent any recurrence.
- Identify innovative projects and solutions to improve overall productivity of ETL production processes.
- Ensure all project work is carried out with a keen eye on project processes to ensure delivery in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
- Utilisation of the MUDA process to remove any unnecessary tasks.
- Actively encourages and is receptive to suggestions for improvements.
- Identifies areas for self-development.
- To provide specialist engineering support and advice to all areas of engineering.
- To carry-out equipment design, build, installation, commissioning and evaluation as required to improve process efficiencies.
- Coordinate third party companies during the modification of Epson production equipment.
- The design, production and maintenance of all supporting documentation for new and existing machinery, in accordance with relevant legislation including but not limited to the Machinery Directive.
- To ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are continually reviewed and countermeasures implemented to improve the working conditions, ensuring the safety of oneself and others.

- Adhere to Epson's Environment and Quality policies, and ISO 14001 and 9001 management systems.

- Stay informed about environmental impacts in your role, working to prevent, minimize, and report potential pollution incidents, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum of an HNC/ or level 4 Qualification in a relevant engineering principle.
Desirable:
- PRINCE2 qualification.
- IOSH/NEBOSH qualification.
Essential
Experience required
- Demonstrates a determination to deliver.
- Demonstrates high level of pride in all work undertaken.
- Experience in a high-speed automated production environment.
- Desirable:
- Recognised apprenticeship / time served.
