The Role:
The UKI Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Manager will play a key role in the development and execution of Accenture’s UKI I&D strategy. You will work as part of the UKI Talent Strategy team to research, co-create, and scale solutions that cultivate an inclusive and diverse work environment, where all our people feel they belong.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain a strong understanding of our business strategy and performance globally and locally, including a strong grasp of MU strategic growth priorities in terms of offerings, industries, and clients.
Build and maintain in-depth knowledge and insight into Inclusion and Diversity from both internal insights (e.g., from global CoEs and employee listening), as well as external insights (e.g., emerging HR, talent, competitor, and market trends) to frame and inform thinking about I&D challenges and potential solutions. Be considerate to the need to represent multiple points of view.
Build strong relationships with the HR Partners, I&D Sponsors and Business Leaders of our Services and Client Groups, acting as a trusted advisor from an I&D perspective, staying close to their business; equipping and enabling them to achieve I&D goals in their respective areas through a systemic approach. Work with and influence leaders at all levels to foster a commitment to I&D.
Act as the UKI single point of contact with Global and EMEA I&D teams, collaborating in regular calls, building a strong network, and ensuring alignment of UKI I&D plans to global strategy. Support with input into global program design where appropriate.
Lead and support the I&D team in the UKI, including team members in both onshore and designated locations.
Help design, as part of the UKI Talent Strategy team, and in partnership with our broader HR and business stakeholders, our UKI Talent Strategy with a clear set of strategic imperatives, enablers and initiatives across Workforce Transformation, Employee Experience (including Engagement and Health & Wellbeing), and Inclusion & Diversity, that enable us to create an inclusive, diverse culture in which all our people belong, feel healthy and well, with the skills needed to drive business growth.
Use data and insight to develop and execute a plan for the attraction, retention, engagement, and promotion of diverse talent, in the UKI and Ireland, so that we achieve our gender and ethnicity goals.
Build the implementation approach and plan for global and/or market I&D initiatives, tailoring to the local context as appropriate across both countries.
Co-create and execute other local solutions to solve for systemic barriers to inclusions and improve diversity, as needed.
Provide support to ensure UKI MU and country-level progress against I&D metrics is monitored each month and share insight with key HR and business stakeholders across UK and Ireland.
Support in the analysis, positioning and publication of Gender Pay Gap reviews for both UK and Ireland, and Ethnicity Pay Gap for UK (when appropriate).
Provide support to ensure strategic engagement with our I&D networks in both countries, activating global and local I&D initiatives through this channel, building and maintaining business ownership for I&D, aligning network initiatives with UKI strategy, and capturing feedback to inform local and global people programs.
Represent as needed, Accenture externally, in conversations with clients, partners and at events.
Experience & Qualifications
Ability to clearly articulate and reinforce inclusion and diversity strategy and the company’s business case for equality
Ability to manage a team across multiple locations to deliver outcomes that are locally relevant and impactful.
Previous experience working on I&D programmes/initiatives preferred
Strong ability to collaborate and team across multiple stakeholder groups
Strong project management skills to handle complex projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with members of diverse groups and senior stakeholders in HR as well as the business.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong ability to manage changes
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyse complex information
Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information
Experience in design-thinking methodology preferred; ability to use design principles to research and co-create data-driven initiatives and programmes.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate persuasively and effectively at all organizational levels
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office
