About the Team:

The Voids Service is part of our Income Maximisation Team within Housing Services at Lambeth Council. We manage empty council homes from key to key—coordinating inspections, repairs, and lettings to ensure properties are re-let efficiently and to a high standard. As an Income Maximisation Officer, you’ll work closely with Void Surveyors and Neighbourhood Housing Officers to support prospective tenants through viewings, sign-ups, and settling into their new homes. The team operates in a fast-paced, responsive environment, committed to delivering a high-quality voids service for Lambeth Council tenants.

About the Role:

Part-Time (Wednesdays & Fridays) – Job Share Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and organised Income Maximisation Officer to join our team on a part-time basis, working Wednesdays and Fridays as part of a job share arrangement.

This role focuses exclusively on the management of residential void properties, helping to minimise turnaround times and maximise rental income. You will coordinate the end-to-end voids and lettings process, including arranging viewings, conducting sign-ups, and ensuring smooth transitions for new tenants. You’ll also work closely with Neighbourhood Housing Officers to support tenancy management and maintain accurate records throughout.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the voids and lettings process for residential properties
  • Liaising with prospective tenants and internal teams
  • Responding to enquiries and maintaining up-to-date systems
  • Supporting the delivery of income maximisation services

  • Experience working within housing, voids or reactive repairs services
  • Knowledge of void property standards and relevant legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under supervision
  • Understanding of KPIs and performance monitoring
  • Good financial awareness and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and experience engaging with contractors and stakeholders
