Indirect Tax Manager - Fast-growing Fintech Business - Up to £140k

Stanton House is currently recruiting for an Indirect Tax Manager to join an exciting, fast-growing Fintech Business in London. The permanent opportunity offers a salary of up to £140,000 per annum, plus benefits. This role offers flexible working with 3 days in their new London offices and the rest from home.

Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end VAT compliance for the group, ensuring accurate and timely returns and effective management of the VAT group.
Lead the maintenance and enhancement of the Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM), including calculations, analysis, and HMRC interactions.
Provide clear, commercially focused VAT guidance to the business on transactions, products, contracts, and operational changes.
Track VAT regulatory updates and evaluate their impact on the organisation.
Support the Senior Tax Manager and wider finance team on various projects such as system upgrades, process improvements, and controls work.
Coordinate with external advisors and HMRC, maintaining positive and transparent relationships.
Work closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams on cross-functional initiatives.
Managing a small team of two.

To be suitable for this role, you must have the following:

Professionally qualified accountant or tax advisor (ACA/CTA or equivalent).
Background in a Big 4 or leading tax advisory firm with strong VAT/indirect tax experience.
Strong knowledge of UK VAT rules, especially within financial services.
Experience with partial exemption and VAT group arrangements.
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
Able to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
Confident communicator who can simplify complex VAT matters for non-technical stakeholders.
