Salary: Up to £47,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Infection Prevention and Control Lead to join their team of staff in our Nursing department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Lead on the implementation and monitoring of the hospital’s infection prevention and control strategy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance (e.g. CQC, HIS, HTM 01-05, and national IPC standards).
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IPC matters and provide regular reports to senior management and governance committees.
- Oversee surveillance of healthcare-associated infections, antibiotic resistance, and outbreaks.
- Investigate and report IPC incidents, supporting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of action plans.
- Carry out regular audits and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Registered Nurse (Adult) or relevant healthcare professional with active NMC/HCPC registration.
- Significant experience in infection prevention and control.
- Strong knowledge of current IPC legislation, national guidance, and audit standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence practice across all staff levels.
- Experience in incident investigation, audit, and delivering staff training.
