At UU, we champion flexible ways of working. In-person attendance is required three days per week to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.


Job Purpose


Are you highly experienced with project lifecycle information management systems and confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders? Are you currently a Project Information Manager/BIM Manager with working experience of international standards for Information Management? If so, you could be a great fit for our Project Information Manager role.

As a Project Information Manager you will ensure that project information, project information systems and digital information management technologies meet the requirements for the efficient and effective delivery of UU’s Capital Programme and the delivery of asset information to the operational business. Achieving the level of accuracy and completeness to support a safe working environment, compliance to all statutory requirements, the capability framework and the digital ambitions of UU’s wider business.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities


  • Ensure all project participants (internal staff, partners, suppliers, contractors) comply with information requirements.
  • Manage and develop project information systems and enhance the effectiveness of project information processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gain insights into project information management through data-driven solutions.
  • Coordinate with Regional Delivery Managers and Engineering Managers to maintain awareness of programme data and address issues.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information exchange with the supply chain.
  • Update guidance and specifications as needed.
  • Implement training plans for project information management processes and systems for all relevant staff and contractors.


Technical Skills & Experience


To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following criteria:

  • Working knowledge and experience with industry standards for information management such as ISO 19650
  • Excellent level of technical knowledge of project information management systems and technologies (e.g. Common Data Environments).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build and manage relationships at all levels within the organisation and within the extended supply chain.
  • Good awareness and experience of the project life cycle, digital engineering technologies and asset coding structure, within construction/capital projects.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills in order to influence all levels of staff and management.
  • Assurance focus to ensure confidence in our supply chain performance and compliance against information standards.
