Hello! We’re Mitchells & Butlers – we’re a big player in the UK hospitality game. Throughout the UK we have over 1,750 vibrant pubs, restaurants and bars across 18 successful and varied brands. You may have never heard of us before but we’re sure you’ve heard of a few of our brands, like All Bar One, Miller & Carter and Toby Carvery.

We set the industry standard when it comes to delivering excellent guest service and great food & drink, but none of this would be possible without our amazing teams of people and our I.T Teams are a crucial ingredient to our success.

You may not assume hospitality are leaders in the tech space, but you’ll be amazed at how much tech impacts our industry, and the impact you could have here! Our scheme, and our industry needs ambitious graduates with bags of drive and determination. We won’t lie, our scheme is hard work at times but it’s so rewarding. I.T graduate scheme Overview

Our 18 month scheme fast tracks you to your first role in I.T and we’ll make sure you have every opportunity to learn all the necessary technical skills needed to support our frontline pubs and restaurants but also for a successful career in I.T. You’ll learn loads on the job and through a range of placements throughout the I.T function.

We will make sure you get there by…

• Pub, Bar or Restaurant placements (Weeks 2 to 3)
• Rotational placements across the I.T Function - Security and Compliance, Architecture, Business Analysis and Service Operations (Month 2 to 12)
• 2 further placements of your choice that align to your interests and strengths (Months 13 – 18)

You will be really well supported by a great team of people on your journey with us - your line manager, placement manager, and a graduate buddy from our community of graduates across the business.

And there is more…. to ensure you’re on the right trajectory you will also benefit from development workshops throughout the scheme, focused on enhancing your skill set and developing your leadership capabilities.

“During my time on the product team, I had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the discovery phase of integrating gamification into our brand apps. I was involved from the ground up, conducting competitor research, defining the requirements for features like a "spin the wheel" game, and collaborating with UX teams to bring our ideas to life through visual mock-ups. As a graduate, it's incredibly rewarding to know that your contributions to projects can have a tangible impact, and to look forward to seeing this within our apps!”

• You’ll either have, or be on track to achieve at least a 2:1 degree and have achieved ABB grades at A level or above (or equivalent BTEC grades)
• As this role is mainly based at our Birmingham Head Office, you’ll need to live within a commutable distance

1 - Video interview where we’ll get to know a bit about you, and if you impress us here, we’ll invite you to complete Verbal & Numerical Testing (from the comfort of your own home)

2 - Face-to-face interview and group assessments at our Retail Support Centre in Birmingham – where you’ll also get the chance to know more about us (should you progress after video interview)

3 – Final stage senior management interview (should you progress after Face-to-face assessment)
