Information Technology Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support and assistance to end users regarding computer systems, hardware, software, and network issues. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot problems in a timely and effective manner while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
• Respond to support requests via phone, email, chat, or in person, ensuring timely resolution.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Set up new workstations and assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of IT assets and hardware.
• Follow company IT policies, procedures, and best practices for security and compliance.
• Escalate issues to higher-level support or external vendors as needed.

• 1–3 years of experience in a desktop support or technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and remote support tools.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
