About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to lead and support the IT aspects of an office relocation from their existing three‑floor site in Brentford to a new two‑floor facility in Chiswick Park. You will be the primary technical resource onsite, responsible for decommissioning the old environment, commissioning the new one, and ensuring a seamless transition for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Office Relocation Support
- Plan and execute the decommissioning of all IT hardware, software and network services in the three‑floor Brentford office.
- Disable and archive legacy applications, licences and user profiles in the old site.
- Coordinate delivery, installation and commissioning of systems in the two‑floor Chiswick Park office.
Technical Support & Maintenance
- Respond to and resolve support requests (hardware, software, network) in both locations.
- Install, configure and test computer systems, servers, printers and telecommunications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions and data migration.
- Document configurations, change‑control procedures and knowledge‑base articles.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise directly with company Presidents and Directors to understand their requirements and minimise downtime.
- Provide regular status updates, escalations and recommendations to senior management.
Resource Planning & Team Coordination
- Assess manpower needs for each phase of the move; coordinate additional IT technicians as required.
- Act as the onsite lead, mentoring any junior staff or contractors.
- Ensure health & safety and asset‑tracking procedures are followed throughout.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in an IT support role, ideally with at least one full office relocation.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
- Experience with server deployments, network cabling and VOIP systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and clear, client‑facing communication skills.
- Confident working at C‑suite level (Presidents, Directors).
Desirable Certifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation.
