Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who will work closely with the Senior Infrastructure Engineer on some projects but will own BAU support at a 3rd Line level. The engineer will also be expected to provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues on matters in which you may be a subject expert and to take part in the on-call rota. Out of hours work will be required to complete some projects or system updates, these responsibilities are shared within the team.

Day To Day Responsibilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organisational skills to prioritise workloads.
• Ability to write technical documentation and how to guides.
• Understanding of ITIL and ideally experience of ITIL in end user IT operational environments, especially an understanding of change management best practice.

• Ticketing Systems (jira).
• Collaboration systems (Confluence).
• Microsoft Windows Server (AD, DNS, File server etc..).
• Microsoft Office 365 (Sharepoint, Exchange, Teams, AzureAD etc).
• Mobile Device Management (MS Intune).
• Virtualisation skills (VMware, HyperV).
• General Data Centre experience.
• Backup and DR Technologies (Veeam).
• Networking Skills (Cisco).
• Firewall / NGFW Skills (FortiGate).
• Cloud (AWS and Azure).
• Linux skills (RedHat / CentOS / Amazon Linux)
  
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Cisco CCNA / CCNP.
• MCSA / MCSE.
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
• ITIL v3/v4.
