We’re excited to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing, innovative tech-driven company based in Peterborough to find a skilled 3rd Line Engineer to join their team. About the Role:

As a 3rd Line Engineer, you’ll be the senior technical escalation point supporting 1st and 2nd line teams, resolving complex issues across both on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll be involved in a wide range of infrastructure and transformation projects, helping to deliver solutions that keep the business agile and secure. The role offers a great mix of hands-on troubleshooting, project work, and process improvement, with plenty of chances to expand your skills and take ownership of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical support and act as escalation point for the support teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems involving servers, networks, virtualization, and security platforms
• Deliver infrastructure projects that span both cloud and on-premises environments
• Help shape IT processes and best practices to improve operational efficiency
• Mentor and support junior engineers and team members

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a 3rd Line Support or senior Infrastructure Engineer role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and firewall management
• Awareness of security best practices and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Enthusiasm for a varied role where technical ownership and continuous learning are encouraged
