Synechron is looking for a strong Technology/Platform Delivery Engineer with Infrastructure management experience who Designs, Builds, and Maintains a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimise service delivery across Production, QA, and Dev environments.
Role:
- Display strong working relationship with technology development teams, architecture & engineering teams, testing teams, project management teams and infrastructure teams to identify technical and functional needs of infrastructure/platform needs and determine prioritisation
- Work with Architecture and Engineering teams/ cross-functional teams to develop standards through templates and process to enforce best practices for software development to ensure platform/environments are stable
- Create comprehensive business requirement plans and champions Cloud / IaaS/PaaS adoption of new platforms during IT transformations. Provide Technology Benefit and Business Benefit for any new investment to procure Infrastructure
- Implement environment maturity models (Production, Contingency, Disaster Recovery) and coordinate build activities by working closely with Technology leads identifying business flow and applications in scope
- Drive adoption to Implement industry best practices and always use production stability and availability as guideline while implementing solutions
- Manage projects/programs for enterprise solutions and environment build for business-critical applications and client testing environments
- Work with Development teams to evaluate capacity needs and estimate capacities based on utilization and growth trends to get demand for building messaging infrastructure.
- Manage day-to-day tasks / activities in coordination with a team of dev leads to meet the deliverables and schedule of a data solution component within a larger application project
- Engage to assess any impact through implementation and Go Live of application components. Also provide cost / benefit analysis and Investment/funding estimates vs. Cost saves for Productivity
- Partner with other infra leads across business departments and the wider technology groups to drive quality across the application on boarding and production stability initiatives
- Engage with Client relationship managers and various internal stakeholders to review business requirements and provide solutions to manage SLAs, KPIs and solve conflicts by identifying application, technical and data issues
- Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses, solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolution to restore services
Experience:
- Extensive experience in roles centered around infrastructure delivery (application hosting and/or end user services) with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement
- Experience in Expert level skills in SQL, Windows, Linux, Oracle, MSSQL
- Exposure to Cloud based technologies, Micro services, OpenShift, AWS, Google, Azure, etc.
- Experience in managing Infrastructure projects for Enterprise Container Solutions/OpenShift/ Cloud by defining scope, dependencies, and priorities
- Knowledge of industry standard tools and technologies such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace and other Observability tools
- Understanding of how specialisation within area contributes to the business and of competitors' products and services
- Ability to develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
- Strong relationship builder, works as a partner with multiple stakeholders and business areas
- Effective analytic/diagnostic/problem solving skills
