Job Description
We are looking for a passionate individual, ready to make an impact in a face-paced and safety-critical operational environment.
This position will lead the planning, coordination and optimisation of maintenance and reactive work activities across our critical infrastructure.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring asset performance, system availability, and business continuity, placing the passenger and customer at the centre of everything we do.
This role does not attract shift pay – Monday-Thursday / Tuesday-Friday 10-hour days.

Job Description

Your role will involve
- Leading the planning and coordination of seasonal maintenance, complex repairs and major breakdowns.
- Driving long term asset performance through data analysis and continuous improvement.
- Working closely with other Engineering teams, specialist suppliers, manufacturers and designers.
- Identifying and informing on business risks to senior leadership.
- Supporting the Asset Manager in Industry benchmarking.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support operational excellence.
- City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or higher in an Engineering Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
- Strong practical experience in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering systems (e.g. Chilled Water, Low Temperature Hot Water, High Temperature Hot Water, Fire Main, Potable Water, Non-Potable Water, Foul Water, Pollution Control).
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility for an airside driving permit.
- Experience in the management of critical systems at Heathrow or other critical infrastructure sites.
- AP status in relevant critical systems.
