What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities
As an Instrument Build Technician, you’ll play a key role in assembling, testing, and packing our high-quality sequencing devices. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working within a team to build, test & pack devices in a controlled production environment, following operational procedures & instructions
- Follow all health and safety policy’s & procedures
- Ensuring manufacturing records are completed thoroughly. Accurately documenting production activities, and maintaining traceability
- Reacting quickly to production quality issues in an efficient manner using standard procedures
- Collaborate with production leads and engineers to resolve build issues and suggest improvements, while complying with current quality standards
- Contributing towards driving continuous improvement
- Assisting in the progression of updates and upgrades into production
- Maintaining a safe, professional, clean and tidy work space at all times
- Stock control within the area, completing transactions accurately during production
- Any other duties as might be required within the remit and responsibilities

What We’re Looking For
We’re Seeking Someone Who Is
- Experienced in a production environment (ideally fast-paced)
- Skilled in assembling complex electromechanical products
- Familiar with mechanical and electronic engineering processes
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advantageous)
- Knowledgeable about quality management systems (a plus)
Qualifications
- GCSEs in Maths & English (required)
- Relevant engineering qualification (desirable)
