Due to team expansion, we’re looking for an Insurance Broker Account Manager to join our Care and Charities team, based in our City Centre Birmingham Office. As an Account Manager, you will be underwriting on a fully delegated authority scheme for Domiciliary Care and Supported Living Agencies and broking Care Home risks and related products.
Within this varied role, you can expect to be processing renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business – involving both Direct and Wholesale, working directly with Primary Care related organisations and cross selling on Cyber, PA, Fidelity Guarantee, D&O.
We’re looking for an individual who can provide a quality service to new and existing clients, has Acturis knowledge, and has excellent communication skills. If you have previous experience in other lines of insurance, we are able to provide training and upskill individuals within the Charities and Care Sector.
Your Role:
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
· Good understanding of insurance principles and the coverage, terms and conditions of transacted risk types along with the requirements of the niche sectors in which we operate.
· Risk aware with strong planning and analytical skills along with accuracy and high attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Empathy and the ability to remain calm and composed when working under pressure, and when faced with challenges
· Ability to ask relevant questions to identify client needs
· Adept at negotiating to achieve the desired result
· Self-motivated with ability to work independently whilst also being a team player
· Able to plan and organise, multi-tasking to support several lines of enquiry within a regulated, measurable framework to achieve SLA’s
· Professional and empathetic with internal and external clients, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times
· Proficiency in using MS Office, Acturis, E-trade platforms and Gallagher applications
· Aligned with Gallagher Values and Behaviours
· Willingness to achieve Cert CII as minimum and work towards ACII
