Angove Partners are working with an independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker headquartered in London. You will assist with the placement of direct and facultative property insurance into both the London and International markets. This role will be responsible for handling broking placement activities and supporting the development of programme design and contract negotiations on accounts.
What is the role?
You will support Senior Brokers on the placement and servicing of complex property business and proactively seeking solutions to client queries.
What will you be doing?
- Liaise with existing clients to secure renewals and assist to explore new revenue growth opportunities
- Supports Senior Brokers to explore new revenue opportunities and new markets
- With direction, pursues potential opportunities and secures new business
- Working in partnership with the broking team to identify the client's requirements and understand how to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions
- Establish long-term business relationships with clients and market contacts
- Participates in team collaboration approach to clients and markets to achieve outstanding service and client satisfaction
- Ensure client service delivery is continuously reviewed and help identify efficiencies to achieve optimal client satisfaction
- Working as a trusted advisor to clients, on all elements of risk management
- Ensure the preparation and production of necessary account and programme documentation is dealt with within a timely manner
- Collaborates with colleagues to establish business relationships with markets and clients
- Ensure broking submissions are accurate and fit for purpose
- Ensure that clients are fully appraised during the broking process of status of placement
What do you need to apply to this role?
- Previous experience working in a similar broking role or a Client Servicing role where broking is the natural next career step
- Good knowledge of the (re)insurance market in order to address client and technical issues
- Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Accurate and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate a good understanding of market dynamics and how this impacts on existing and potential clients
- Good knowledge of market and products with an ability to adapt these to client needs
