We are working with a rapidly growing insurance broker who is looking to hire a permanent IBA Operations Technician. This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced and evolving finance function.

The role

As an IBA Operations Technician, you will support the IBA Operations team in delivering accurate and timely financial processing. The role will involve close collaboration with senior team members to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and adherence to internal controls and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the administration of loss and non-loss fund monies
• Setting up online payments, along with cash posting and allocation
• Supporting daily claims reconciliations between carrier and internal systems
• Maintaining accurate bank transaction records and assisting with regular reconciliations
• Assisting with third-party commission processing and resolving basic discrepancies

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience or exposure to IBA accounting or financial operations within the insurance industry. You will also demonstrate:

• A working knowledge of basic reconciliation processes and financial documentation
• An understanding of claims money management and bank account operations (desirable)
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
• Clear communication and good interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A proactive, organised approach with a willingness to learn and adapt
• The ability to manage multiple tasks under supervision
