I am working with a growing insurance broker that is looking for an CASS Specialist (CASS 5) to support the organisation and their multiple entities with ensuring that the businesses insurance broking accounting is compliant with FCA regulations, as well as streamlining processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of a governance and controls framework over regulatory finance processes across multiple jurisdictions (under CASS 5).
• Create and establish a cross functional client money governance forum, to provide support and guidance over client money matters.
• Take an active role in the completion of finance regulatory activities, including client money calculations and regulatory reporting returns.
• Implement a capital adequacy policy and oversee the assessment, including stress testing and scenario modelling for regulated entities.
• Ensure the firm’s operations comply with CASS rules, maintaining accurate records and implementing effective controls.
• Develop, implement, and review CASS 5 policies and procedures, ensuring they are robust, up-to-date and efficient with current regulations.
• Conduct regular compliance monitoring and prepare comprehensive reports for the FD, CFO and regulatory bodies.
• Act as a SME in CASS 5 and provide training and guidance to finance, audit teams and wider on CASS compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to client assets, ensuring all potential issues are promptly addressed.
• Be the main point of contact for internal and external auditors during CASS audits, ensuring all findings are addressed and rectified.

Personal Profile:

• Proven experience in a CASS 5 compliance role within the insurance industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the FCA’s CASS 5 regulations and related compliance.
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ CII desired.
• Experience supporting on audit processes in complicated organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management.
