Job Description
United Living Infrastructure Services are looking to appoint a
Pipeline Interface Engineer to manage the interactions and connections between different systems and components during the design, construction and commissioning of an onshore CO2 pipeline. The candidate shall be required to ensure smooth integration and communication at all technical interface points where different disciplines or external parties meet. This shall involve coordinating the design development of multiple engineering disciplines, the preferred candidate shall be from a pipeline, mechanical ort civil background but must have experience of working across other pipeline disciplines including process, electrical, instrumentation, CP etc.
Key Responsibilities
Interface Identification and Management: Identifying all relevant interface points within a project, including both internal and external interfaces.
Coordination and Communication: Facilitating communication and collaboration between different teams, disciplines, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on interface requirements.
Interface Agreement and Documentation: Developing and maintaining interface agreements, registers, and other documentation to clearly define responsibilities and deliverables at interface points.
Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential interface-related risks, such as design clashes, material incompatibilities, or scheduling conflicts.
Technical Reviews and Approvals: Conducting thorough reviews of interface-related documentation and deliverables to ensure they meet project requirements and standards.
Schedule and Cost Management: Ensuring that interface activities are properly integrated into the overall project schedule and budget.
Typical Tasks
- Preparing and conducting interface reviews with various stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining interface registers.
- Managing interface requests and agreements.
- Attending project meetings to address interface-related issues.
- Assessing interface points during all phases of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
- Monitoring and reporting on interface progress.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of onshore pipeline engineering principles and practices.
- Experience in interface management, preferably in a multi-discipline or multi-stakeholder environment.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant UK industry standards and regulations.
- Experience of design risks associated with CO2 onshore pipelines preferred.
