Contract: Day Rate (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)

Duration: January 2026 – End of May 2026

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: New Year

Rate: £480-525pd

We’re seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a major UK infrastructure programme on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence financial performance and ensure robust cost control in a complex, high-profile environment.

What you’ll do:

Provide financial assurance and challenge to drive accountability and value for money.
Deliver accurate reporting, analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholders.
Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and audit standards.
Support business planning, forecasting, and budget management within funding caps.
Collaborate with internal teams and supply chain partners to optimise cash flow and resource allocation.

What we’re looking for:

Qualified accountant with experience in complex environments (infrastructure or large-scale projects preferred).
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to communicate complex financial issues clearly.
Expertise in ERP systems, data analytics, and advanced Excel modelling.
Knowledge of government accounting requirements and Managing Public Money principles.
