Interim Financial Accountant – Challenger Bank | £450–£550/day (Umbrella) | 6-Month Contract | Hybrid – Central London

JSS Search is partnering with a high-growth challenger bank as they head into a critical year-end reporting period. They are seeking an interim Financial Accountant to provide essential support to the Financial Controller and wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close and help streamline and automate financial processes.
• Prepare statutory accounts in line with year-end reporting requirements.
• Support the external audit process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) – audit-trained preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience within banking, fintech, or payments.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, regulatory requirements, and audit processes.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Details:

• Day rate: £450–£550/day (via umbrella)
• Duration: 6 months, with strong potential to extend
• Location: Central London | Hybrid working (2–3 days in-office)
