Interim Financial Controller

JSS are partnering with a leading business based in Northampton in their search for an interim Financial Controller for an initial period of 6 months. Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands on role requiring a technically strong individual that can support the business through a period of change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and lead the month end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of management accounts
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Prepare monthly management reporting packs, including variance analysis and commentary
• Liaise with external auditors and support year end reporting as needed
• Provide day to day leadership to a small finance team and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Support ongoing process improvements and assist with ad hoc finance projects

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong technical accounting and controls experience
• Confident with month end routines, reporting, and reconciliations
• Pragmatic, hands on and able to work independently in a fast paced environment

Package:

• £500-600 per day
• Hybrid working
