🌟 Finance Internal Control Manager (12-Month FTC)

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Internal Control Manager to join a fast-growing, forward-thinking Fintech on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about driving strong internal controls, enhancing governance frameworks, and supporting strategic initiatives such as systems transformation and international expansion. You’ll work cross-functionally to deliver value through root cause analysis, control performance reporting, and process improvement recommendations.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead risk and control initiatives, including managing issues and actions, maintaining the finance risk register, and coordinating monthly governance meetings.
• Oversee financial policies and standards to ensure a robust control framework.
• Produce high-quality reporting for senior management on control effectiveness.
• Provide risk and controls expertise to support large-scale changes, including ERP upgrades and international market entry.
• Conduct deep dives and process walkthroughs to evaluate and strengthen first-line financial controls.
• Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to reinforce governance structures.
• Drive and manage strategic Finance projects to enhance organisational capability.
• Partner with engineering teams to automate or improve control-related processes.

🤩 You’ll Excel in This Role If You:

• Are a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in internal controls or internal audit (Big 4 or equivalent background preferred).
• Have experience in banking, audit, and financial controls, with a strong understanding of control environments.
• Possess strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Are comfortable communicating complex ideas clearly across diverse audiences.
• Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
