Overview
A PE-backed, international tech group is looking for an Interim Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function through a period of change and consolidation. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on driving financial control, improving reporting standards, and ensuring timely, accurate information for the board and investors. Multi-entity and multi-currency exposure is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the group month-end close process and production of consolidated management accounts across multiple entities and currencies
- Ensure timely and accurate investor and board reporting, including KPI packs and covenant reporting
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and group cash flow
- Oversee audit and statutory reporting across jurisdictions
- Implement and enhance controls, systems, and reporting processes
- Business partner with senior stakeholders across finance and operations
- Manage and develop a small, high-performing finance team
- Support ongoing projects including systems upgrades, M&A activity, or exit planning
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience
- Strong group-level experience, ideally within a PE-backed or high-growth environment
- Comfortable working across multiple entities and currencies
- Excellent technical skills with a commercial mindset
- Proven ability to improve reporting and controls in a fast-paced setting
- Hands-on and delivery focused, with strong attention to detail
- Available at short notice and confident operating independently
