This is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract and offers hybrid working - 3 days per week in the London office.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Head of HR (or Senior HR Business Partner) to provide maternity cover, leading our People function for head office teams including Marketing, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain.

As a senior member of the People Leadership Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive and functional leaders, ensuring our people strategy continues to enable business growth, transformation, and high performance.

You’ll lead and support a small team of HR professionals, ensuring continuity of a proactive, business-aligned HR service while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior HR leadership to head office functions, ensuring continuity of service and alignment with business goals.
• Partner with the Executive and senior leaders as a trusted advisor on strategic and operational people matters.
• Lead on organisational design, change management, and workforce planning during a key period of transformation.
• Drive talent management, leadership development, and succession planning strategies.
• Champion employee engagement, inclusion, and performance across all functions.
• Oversee complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and commercially sound outcomes.
• Line manage, coach, and develop the HR team to deliver high-quality, business-focused support.
• Leverage HR data and insights to monitor progress and support decision-making.

About You

• Proven senior HR leadership experience (Head of HR or senior HRBP) within a retail or consumer-focused environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to align people strategy with business priorities.
• Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence at Executive level.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, developing, and motivating HR teams.
• Skilled in organisational change and able to navigate fast-paced environments.
• CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience) with strong knowledge of UK employment law.
